Aquabike - Half Distance
A serious test, without the full-day commitment.
A 1.9 km swim and a 90 km ride. Short enough to fit around a life that doesn't bend around training, long enough that pacing mistakes still cost you. This is where most aquabike athletes start, and where plenty choose to stay.
Who this is for
Athletes testing aquabike for the first time, without committing a full season to it before knowing whether the format suits them. Also well suited to time-crunched athletes who want a genuine long-course goal without the training volume a full-distance block demands, and to anyone using half distance as the proving ground before deciding whether to build toward the full 3.8/180 the following season.
Block length
22 weeks.
Structured for how you train
Available in two versions: Bike Power, for athletes training with a power meter, or Bike Heart Rate, for athletes pacing off heart rate. Choose whichever matches your setup when you pick your plan.
