Training plans/Full Aquabike
Self-guided race preparation
Full Aquabike
Full Aquabike is a long swim-bike race in its own right: 3.8km in the water followed by 180km on the bike, without a marathon afterwards. The 22-week family therefore focuses the page on those two disciplines instead of presenting a full-distance triathlon plan with the run ignored.
Who this plan is for
For the long aquabike build
Choose Full Aquabike when the target event ends after the 180km bike. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced collections make the same long-course format available from different starting points, while keeping the training choice centred on swim and bike rather than a missing run leg.
TrainingPeaks lists bike heart-rate and bike-power SKUs alongside swim RPE and pace guidance. The standard build is 22 weeks at all three levels, and the current catalogue has no separate 15-week time-crunched Full Aquabike collection.
Training load
Entry → Consolidation → Attack- 01Test under normal training fatigue, not after a rest
- 02Progressive load through entry, consolidation and attack
- 03A short taper that keeps race-specific work present

What the structure protects
01Swim, bike, run and strength developed as one programme
02Race execution rehearsed before race week
03Clear progression instead of disconnected hard sessions
