We are thrilled to finally announce the launch of our coaching practice.
We founded the practice to avoid the pitfalls we’ve encountered in training plans and coaches during our years of racing: a lack of personal attention (exemplified by forgetting available time, injuries, or late provision of plans), an overtly science-based approach leading to a lack of sensible methods and loss of enjoyment, and a narrow focus on numbers, which neglects other key aspects of training like muscular endurance and efficient biomechanics.
From day one, our goal has been to create a coaching environment that is highly personalised. We believe that every athlete deserves more than just a one-size-fits-all plan. Our approach is designed to cater to your individual needs, considering your unique schedule, physical conditions, and personal goals. We know firsthand how frustrating it can be to feel like just another number in a coach’s roster, and we are committed to ensuring that our athletes never experience that.
We are dedicated to striking the perfect balance between scientific precision and practical satisfaction. While data and metrics are essential tools, we don’t let them overshadow the fulfilment that comes from training. Our methods are rooted in sound science, but they are also adaptable, intuitive, and, most importantly, enjoyable. We strive to make training not just effective, but also a core part of your routine that you look forward to as you feel yourself grow stronger day by day.
Triathlon can be the most exhilarating and gratifying sport in the world, and we try to express our love for the sport in our plans and coaching approach. You can expect more interesting workouts, greater variety, and less of a mental grind compared to other plans and approaches. This also leads to greater versatility and strength as an athlete, and, in turn, greater racing success as you’ll be better equipped to handle any unpredicted circumstances that may occur on race day.
We believe in a comprehensive approach that builds you up to become a well-rounded competitor, ready to tackle every challenge that comes your way.
It has been a long time in the making, with plenty of brainpower spent and efforts made to determine how to best present ourselves in this online space. Behind the scenes, we have continued coaching athletes, sought mentorship from veteran coaches, pursued certifications, and expanded our experience and knowledge to ensure we can truly set ourselves apart from the crowd.
We are excited to see what opportunities we can bring to our athletes. As our practice develops, we aim to continuously evolve and innovate, bringing the latest advancements and best practices to our athletes. In time, we want to establish a vibrant and supportive environment for our athletes, where our athletes can connect, share experiences, and support each other. Sense Endurance athletes will be confident athletes who achieve their goals and inspire their fellow racers.
Even as we grow, we aspire to keep our practice small and focused, never losing that level of personal attention that sets us apart. By maintaining a close-knit squad, we can ensure that each athlete receives the tailored coaching they deserve.
